Hello World

So last week was not the best week family-wise. On Tuesday night, I was with John and I get a phone call in my dorm room from Rebecca telling me to come out. I think I told you guys that my parents are separated right now which is a good thing since you all remember how much they fought. My dad is trying to work out his issues and I don't really know what Rebecca is doing, but anyway, she showed up and told me to come out to the car. I have no idea how she got past the security gates but she did and she ended up taking me to a gas station for like, 50 minutes and telling me a bunch of lies about my dad. Then she told me to not tell Krystle or Dad what had happened. So on wednesday, Krystle calls me and asks if I've talked with Rebecca and I was like I'm not supposed to tell you...but I ended up telling her anyway. She told me that I needed to tell my Dad what had happened so on Thursday when he called me I told him everything and he told me to call Dr. Sorenson. (she's a therapist that's known us for years) Anyway, she told me to email Rebecca and tell her that we were to have no contact with each other. Well, I wasn't able to email her because I had to go to work and guess who ended up showing up at my work? Rebecca. I freaked out. I started crying and my manager Humberto was like, go to the office now. Ugh. Then I had to tell her in person that she wasn't to talk to me anymore and I had to tell her to leave. So. I was kind of depressed and I was supposed to call John on my break so I did and he ended up surprising me at work. So the night ended okay but on Friday, Rebecca went to my Dad's work and cornered him and told him that she didn't tell me to not tell him what had happened. She creates so much drama and it's so frustrating. I'm just glad that I'm at Bethel. So please, pray for me or just keep me in your thoughts. Love and miss you all.

New favorite song: Oh what a night

Oh, What A Night Lyrics
by Frankie Valli

Oh, what a night.
Late December back in '63.
What a very special time for me,
'Cause I remember what a night.

Oh, what a night.
You know, I didn't even know her name,
But I was never gonna be the same.
What a lady. What a night.

Oh, I. I got a funny feeling when she walked
In the room and I,
As I recall it ended much too soon.

Oh, what a night,
Hypnotizing, mesmerizing me.
She was everything I dreamed she'd be.
Sweet surrender, what a night!

I felt a rush like a rolling bolt of thunder
Spinnin' my head around and taking my body under.
Oh, what a night!

Oh, I. I got a funny feeling when she walked
In the room and I,
As I recall it ended much too soon.

Oh, what a night.
Why'd it take so long to see the light?
Seemed so wrong, but now it seems so right.
What a lady, what a night!

I felt a rush like a rolling bolt of thunder
Spinnin' my head around and taking my body under.
Oh, what a night!
(Do, do, do, do, do. Do, do, do, do, do, do.)
Oh, what a night!
(Do, do, do, do, do. Do, do, do, do, do, do.)
Oh, what a night!
(Do, do, do, do, do. Do, do, do, do, do, do.)
Oh, what a night!
(Do, do, do, do, do. Do, do, do, do, do, do.)
Oh, what a night!
(Do, do, do, do, do. Do, do, do, do, do, do.)
Oh, what a night!
(Do, do, do, do, do. Do, do, do, do, do, do.)

Side note

I've also cut my diet coke intake to one per day! woot!

Superbowl Sunday

So I watched the superbowl for awhile today. All I really wanted to see was the National Anthem, halftime and the commercials. Well, the national anthem stunk, halftime was pretty cool and the commercials were alright. Some were pretty funny though. I don't really understand football though, so it was kind of difficult. My room was in need of serious cleaning today. It's always nice to clean your room, do your laundry, finish your homework, and shower. It makes me feel ready for the week.

I have a pretty full load this semester. I'm taking Intro to Bible, Christianity in Western Culture (with Mrs. Gehrz's brother in law!!), Intro to chem II, and Society and Morality. All of the classes are interesting it's just going to be a lot of work, reading and such. If ever you want a good book to read I recommend Blood Brothers, by Elias Chacour. I'm not sure if any of you guys have read that before but it's an excellent book. I have to read it for Society and Morality but it's definitely a good one. I really like my intro to bible professor and CWC should be interesting especially with Mr. Gehrz in it.

My RA and I are going to detox our bodies! It's a 21 day thing where we can only eat fruits, nuts, veggies, and some other stuff but it's so that we can cleanse our bodies, sort of like spring cleaning. it's also kind of a weight loss program too but I'm doing it more for the detoxing. I feel like my body is so unhealthy right now. Have a great week everyone!
